Cultural Hegemony

One social set having power over other social sets within that society and they enforce their beliefs and ideologies upon the rest of that society and normal and everyday. These beliefs and ideologies become a way of measuring or categorising people within that society as they are seen the 'obvious' or 'commonsensical'.
